Digital Texts
I had no clue about digital texts until this class. I think they are absolutely wonderful. My school is prodominately ELL so using digital texts in my classroom has been very beneficial.

Social Networking
I was never a big fan of the social networking sites until my friends set up a myspace account for me. I was quite impressed when friends from High School and College started contacting me. Now, I am pretty addicted to it!!! During this class I started a Facebook account and its okay. I think myspace is a little easier to use and I like that I have the choice to only let users over 18 view my profile.

Digital Photography & Video
I love taking pictures with my digital camera and so I took pictures of all of my students in the classroom and made a digital movie. I played the movie while the students and parents were in my classroom during PTA night.

Blogging
Before this technology class I had heard of a blog but really didn't know what it was. After getting help creating my blog, I think its pretty cool. I think it would be a good idea to create a blog that my students parents could look at to see whats going on in the classroom.

PTA Meeting
There will be a PTA Meeting at HWES December 13th.

Activities for Parents at HWES
English Classes~ Eery Monday and Wednesday from 6-9.
Family Literacy Classes~ Every Monday-Thursday from 10am - 12am in Mobile 7.
Parent Academy~ Every Thursday between 3:45-7pm.
Partners in Print~ Every other Friday from 5:30-7pm. Dates are November 16 and December 7.
